The Top 10 Motivational Tips

The foundation of motivation is built upon push and pull factors.

Humans are by instinct  designed to move away from pain and into pleasure.

Once our basic needs have been fulfilled,we lose our drive to really excel at something.

Achieving goals is not a matter of having “discipline”. It is a matter of motivating yourself  and keeping your focus on your goal.

Follow these tips,or any of the combination of them that works for you,and you should have the motivation and focus you need.

The Top 10 Motivational Tips:

1) Have a purpose

Purpose is what I call the primary motivator of your life.

It’s what you think about when you get out of bed in the morning and what keeps you going throughout the day.

When you don’t have a reason to wake up in the morning,why wake up?

2) Always think positive 

A mans mind will make or break him.

If you realized how powerful your thoughts were,you would never think another negative thought again.

Monitor your thoughts.

Be aware of your self-talk.

If you hear negative thoughts,stop them,push them out,and replace them.

Positive thinking allows you to see clearly and run free like a caged animal feeling grass underneath it’s feet for the first time.

3) Have a powerful reason

The root word of motivation is “motive”.

The definition of motive is “A reason to act”

Know your reason,give them some thoughts,be willing to commit to them and write them down.

You have to have a reason that is powerful enough to motivate you.

4) Everyday,seek inspiration

Inspiration is one of the best motivators.

Everyday,seek inspiration and it will help sustain motivation over the long term.

Surround yourself with high-achievers,read biographies of highly successful people,listen to podcasts and audio books.

It gets you going and motivates you!

5) Do a morning ritual

A morning ritual is basically a series of routine actions you do from the moment you wake up that set you up for great day!

It makes sure we stay productive,energetic and focused throughout the day.

6) Throw the fucking TV out the window

TV is full of stories of murder,betrayal and pain. It’s riveting, but it also messes with your mind.

The news doesn’t show you how the world is. It shows you whatever will make you watch more news.

Throw the fucking TV out the window, and use that wasted time to make shit happen.

It’s 5 trillion times better than being a brain-dead zombie staring at a fucking screen with a controller in your hands.

7) Keep a hand-written paper journal

If you are consistent about keeping a journal, it can be a great motivator.

It adds tremendous value to your life in retrospect,it allows you to see and fix recurring problems,record the progress you’ve been making and how you need to adjust your life for optimal results.

 8) Kill over-thinking (Just get started)

Thinking too much does you no good.

How many blogs can you read about ab exercises before you decide to go to the gym?

It’s when you’re sitting in your house,thinking about going to the gym and feeling tired that it seems hard.

Once you start,it’s never as hard as you think as you thought it should be.

Think up your plans,then turn off the brain and turn on action.

If you wait until you’re ready,you’ll be waiting for the rest of your life.

9)  Reward yourself

It takes quite a while before constructive habits like reading,working out,writing,eating healthy, start to pay off and therefore it’s actually so difficult to stick with them.

Make a list of your goals and next to each,write down appropriate reward.

By rewarding the behavior you want in your life,you’ll condition your brain to facilitate that in the future.

10) Be patient

I know this is easier said than done.

But the problem with many of us is that we expect quick results. If you don’t see the results you want soon,don’t give up……give it time.

In the meantime,be happy with your progress so far, and with your ability to stick with your goals.
